Voiceless by haveyouseenthisgirl (WATTPAD published book)

Her name is Momoxhien Clarkson.

She loves Syntax Error, her favourite band.
She meets them in a very embarrasing situation.
She gets to work for them and she discovers a lot of things about her favourite band.

Then... suddenly her life gets complicated. From a fan turns to a friend and... also a lover.

But when she discovers more... can she bear all of it?

Up to what point can she consider herself a fan?

This book is not a manga, it is a published book from WATTPAD. The book is in "tagalog" my native language, so unless you can read in taglog, then I guess you can read this book.

My review in in english thou! so your welcome to read it!

When I first encountered the book, I was curious as to why it is entitled, Voiceless.
But after reading the book, I can now finally say, that I agree with the author.

When we voice out our voice of reason/opinion, whether it is the truth or not, we are often ignored by the people around us, because let's face it, the truth is that, people will only listen to the things they want to hear.
They would rather be, be deaf to the truth than to face reality.

I like the character of Momo because she has a strong sense of loyalty towards the people she cares about, on the other hand, I kinda disliked Sync's personality for being to hard headed, but hey who can blame the guy, when he fell in love to a girl who only used him? Not his fault I guess....
But dang, his too blinded when it comes to love....tsk...

I kinda like Kevin Sy, his sweet, but I dislike him for having feelings for Momo so suddenly!

My favorite character would be Mirko... I love his cool and happy go lucky personality! Plus his half Italian! Dreamy!

So far its a predictable story....
Buy I like the slow progress between the two main character because its not an instant love.

4/5 stars! I'm curious what will happened next on the second and final book!
Will start reading now!

Blood Red Road by Moira Young

Saba has spent her whole life in Silverlake, a dried-up wasteland ravaged by constant sandstorms. The Wrecker civilization has long been destroyed, leaving only landfills for Saba and her family to scavenge from. That's fine by her, as long as her beloved twin brother Lugh is around. But when a monster sandstorm arrives, along with four cloaked horsemen, Saba's world is shattered. Lugh is captured, and Saba embarks on an epic quest to get him back.
Suddenly thrown into the lawless, ugly reality of the world outside of desolate Silverlake, Saba is lost without Lugh to guide her. So perhaps the most surprising thing of all is what Saba learns about herself: she's a fierce fighter, an unbeatable survivor, and a cunning opponent. And she has the power to take down a corrupt society from the inside. Teamed up with a handsome daredevil named Jack and a gang of girl revolutionaries called the Free Hawks, Saba stages a showdown that will change the course of her own civilization.

" Red hot, pumps into me."  As Saba, likes to describe her adrenaline rush. That, often how I felt, whenever I read Saba's story. A full blown action pack story that will leave you, on the edge of your seat, wanting more! With cage fighting, giant sand worm combats and lots more!
Don't know about you all, but you shouldn't be thrown off because of the unique writing style of Ms. Moira Young, because trust me, you'll miss out a lot if you don't give this book a chance!
My first thoughts, cool cover, seems like, a book about a girl who is desperately trying to survive on the desert.  But, I do admit that I love the new cover more! Wish its the one I bought instead of this cover, but this book cover relates to the story of Saba a lot, her life and struggles at the desert.
The characters, first off is Saba, a girl who believes she is nothing without her twin brother Lugh, but as she journeys, to rescue Lugh, she slowly finds herself, not wanting to be defeated, making her a strong survivor and earning the right to be named as "Angel of Death."  Jack, a daredevil and a thief, cunning and sneaky, but has the heart to understand things and appreciate them for their worth. He melted the heart of Saba, making her change the outlook she has about herself and to those that surrounds her. He still mysterious but I'm sure we will get to know him on the next book. Emmi, Saba's little sister, the one whom Saba used to detest. Small as she is, she is very observant to her surroundings and just as stubborn as Saba is.  The Free Hawks, a gang of girl revolutionaries, leaded by Meav, strong willed and wise. Ash and Epona, this two girls are Free Hawks as well, whom aided Saba on rescuing Lugh. Both strong as fighters. Ike, Jack's friend. A huge man with a golden heart. He took a boy named Tommo and took him as his son.
What I love about this book is the unique writing! I admit it took time to get used to it, but once you do, you won't even noticed the missing quotations for the speech or the spellings, like "fer" "yer" "nughtin" and so forth.... The unique style of writing added a charm onto it. Because once I'm used to it, I'm starting to read it out load to try Saba's weird accent! And it was so fun! You should try it! xD
The pacing is awesome! It will keep you on the edge of your seat anticipating for the next event to happened!
The writing, like a said very unique and its a fun read if you try reading the book out load! Saba's accent, is a one, that is hard to forget!
5/5 stars! Action pack that will keep you wanting more! This book will surely be on your top five!

Skinned/Frozen by Robin Wasserman

(Renamed by the Author)

Before the accident, Lia Kahn was happy. Before the accident, Lia Kahn was loved. Lia was a lot of things before… She was normal, alive… and human.
But Lia no longer believes in before. Six months after the crash that killed her, six months after being reborn, Lia has finally accepted her new reality. She is a machine, a mech, and she belongs with her own kind. It's a wild and carefree life, without rules and without fear. Because there's nothing to fear when you have nothing left to lose.
But when a voice from her past cries out for revenge, everything changes and Lia is forced to choose between her old life and her new one. How many people - mechs and human - is Lia willing to hurt to protect her freedom? And how far is she willing to go to protect the people she loves?
In the tradition of Scott Westerfeld comes the second book in this riveting and edgy science fiction novel which raises questions of mortality, technology and morality

Its hard to be trapped in Lia Kahn's mind but it is harder to be trapped inside a mechanical body.

My first thoughts when I saw the old cover, which is the one I own by the way, is that its beautiful.  The girl on the cover is beautiful and those lines on her face thus make her look mechanical. The new cover with the new name on it on the other hand is more beautiful! But it thus make you wonder what is the connection of those watery legs to the story? Is that supposed to be machine? Or a deeper meaning that represents the story?  What about the title? Why change it? The old title, Skinned, represents the opposite of what Lia had thought of those people who were downloaded unto a machine, they called them Skinners, machines who are posing as humans. But as Lia experienced the downloading process, she knew that she was "skinned" out, from her old body.  I do agree thou that the title Skinned, makes the book sounds like a horror story. The knew title Frozen has a deeper meaning, but it is easy to understand on why the title has been chosen for this book. Simple, being downloaded unto a machine and to never age and die, makes you "frozen".

The characters, Lia Kahn, a very strong heroine, who was thought well by her father. She is well aware about the changes around her since the accident. She accepted those changes, from her sister, to her friends, to her boyfriend and to the new life that awaits for her. Auden, Lia's only "org" friend and her hero. A very sweet boy, who cherishes his mother's memory. He is the only reason why Lia is still connected to her humanity. Jude, the leader of skinners/ machines / mech-heads. Afraid of the past, and afraid to get close to people. Zo - Zo, Lia's little sister. She changed herself after her sister's death, she treats the current Lia, as an outsider.

What I love about this book is the moral values with in its pages. Who are we to say, that things that surrounds us doesn't have a soul? What does it mean to be human? This book made me question a lot of things.

The pacing, slow but full of raw emotions! I can't help but to feel sorry for Lia.

The writing, love it! While reading her writings, you can truly feel the emotions and scenes and especially the pain.

5/5 stars! A truly wonderful read! Gives great emotions, you'll truly laugh and cry.

Across the Universe by Beth Revis

Seventeen-year-old Amy joins her parents as frozen cargo aboard the vast spaceship Godspeed and expects to awaken on a new planet, three hundred years in the future. Never could she have known that her frozen slumber would come to an end fifty years too soon and that she would be thrust into the brave new world of a spaceship that lives by its own rules.

Amy quickly realizes that her awakening was no mere computer malfunction. Someone - one of the few thousand inhabitants of the spaceship - tried to kill her. And if Amy doesn't do something soon, her parents will be next.

Now, Amy must race to unlock Godspeed's hidden secrets. But out of her list of murder suspects, there's only one who matters: Elder, the future leader of the ship and the love she could never have seen coming.

This book haunts me.
Ms. Revis, created a very twisted world within those thick walls of Godspeed.
A wolrd, I'm not sure I wanted to live in, despite all the fancy technoligies it harbors.

This book is more dystopian in the aspect of its story.

My first thoughts when I saw the cover is, out of this world, because it just grabs my attention and made me wonder, what world lies inside it! The cover just roars sci-fi and love story! Never in my wildest dream that its a dystopian book, well not until I look it up.

For the characters, Amy, strong but not in the physical way. She is very determine to uncover the truth. I'm not sure if I really liked her, which is strange since I either like the character or not, but for her its just undermined, for now. Elder, I really enjoyed his character and his point of views. First he was weak, and afraid, but he out growth all of that, and that is the reason I loved his character because he grew.  I love his accent and the word he often used "frexing".  Harley, best friend of Elder, also a favorite character of mine, since I love his creativity side, especially his paintings. I also simply love his tortured soul, because I cried for him. As for the villains of the story, all I can say is that, they are very twisted indeed.

What I love about this book is while reading this book, it gives me the feeling of helplessness. It also made me feel that I am trapped. This book gives me a lot of feelings that no book has ever done before...... This book is frexing twisted!

The pacing is slow, but once a truth is out, I highly doubt you can put this book down.

The writing is flawless. Easy read. Sucks you in, immediately as her writing becomes your world.

5/5 stars! (Gives me feelings that no book has ever done before.)
